A door hanging crooked or jammed halfway off its track is both a functional problem and a safety risk — 5 Star Garage Door Service realigns it correctly instead of forcing it back into place.
5 Star Garage Door Service trains Basye, VA technicians on this exact service line so you're not the one teaching them on the job.
This specialization is why Basye, VA customers call us back for the same issue instead of shopping around each time.
Every off-track call includes inspection of mounting brackets, not just the visible section.
Improper handling risks the door dropping unexpectedly.
Bracket re-securing is included when mounting has worked loose.
Most repairs complete in under an hour once a technician arrives.
A door jammed halfway off the track gets stabilized and realigned — we assess whether the door, track, or rollers caused it first.
Minor bends from an impact get straightened with proper tools — rather than left to cause repeat derailments.
Severely bent or rusted-through sections get replaced entirely — matched to your door's existing hardware.
Worn rollers are a leading cause of derailment — bearings get greased and tested through a full cycle after.
Mounting brackets that have worked loose get re-secured — we check all bracket hardware during off-track calls, not just the visible section.
Dial +1-866-597-3069; a real person collects the details before routing a technician.
A stocked Basye, VA truck heads your way, usually with a same-day arrival window.
We diagnose the actual cause and explain the fix in plain terms before quoting.
{Work is completed and tested through a full cycle before we call the job finished.|We verify safety function and smooth operation before asking for your sign-off.|Workmanship is backed by our guarantee, not just a handshake.}
"""Explained why my quick fix attempt actually made the derailment worse. Fixed it properly after."""
"""Door jumped the track after my son backed the bike into it. Realigned and running smooth within the hour."""
"""Tried pushing it back myself first, bad idea. Tech fixed it properly and explained why forcing it makes it worse."""
"""Track was bent from a loose bracket nobody caught. They found the actual cause this time."""
"""Upgraded to nylon rollers while fixing the track. Noticeably quieter now."""
An off-track door can drop unpredictably, which is a real risk to anything underneath.
We don't recommend it — it's often still under spring tension and can drop if handled improperly.
Worn rollers, a bent track, or a loose mounting bracket are the most common causes.
If you can safely avoid operating it further, wait for a technician.
We assess the actual damage on-site before recommending the pricier option.
